Reception summer term news
This term we have had lots of amazing learning as part of our oceans and seas topic. We have filled our own group buckets with creatures that you might find in the sea just like Billy had in ‘Billy’s Bucket’ by Kez Gray, by making them from a range of different resources. We have designed and made our own patterned umbrellas to act as a sun shade in the hot sun while learning about how to keep ourselves safe in the sun. When learning about rainbow fish we made our own colourful rainbow fish using clay and sequins and experimented with milk, food colouring and washing up liquid. The effects we watched were amazing and well worth trying at home. We all enjoyed our trip to Old Hunstanton. The sun decided not to put his hat on for us but we still had an amazing time splashing in the sea, eating ice cream and making sand castles.
