Welcome to Forest Academy Brandon, Suffolk
Welcome to Forest Academy in Brandon, Suffolk. Whether you are a returning member of our school community or a new face joining us for the first time, we are excited to have you as part of our family.
Forest Academy is more than just a school; it's a place where we nurture a love for learning, instill strong values, and provide a safe, supportive environment for all our children. Learning for life underpins all that we do and we strive to provide the best possible education and care for each child who walks through our doors.
Our Ethos, Values, and Attitudes
At the heart of our school is a sense of community, where everyone is cared for, listened to, and respected. We aim to cultivate a fair sense of justice and equip our children with the skills and attitudes they need to become valued citizens of the future. We believe that by fostering a positive atmosphere and building strong relationships, we can create an environment where children thrive both academically and personally.
To bring our mission to life, we have established five clear aims based on the Building Learning Power dispositions:
Ready to Learn: We want our children to approach learning with confidence and positivity, ensuring they are emotionally and physically prepared.
Resourceful: We encourage our children to be proactive in their learning, asking insightful questions and employing various strategies to acquire knowledge.
Reflective: Curiosity is key to growth, and we strive to instill this quality in our children. We also teach them to learn from their mistakes and celebrate their progress.
Resilient: Perseverance is a fundamental life skill. We support our children in facing challenges head-on and staying engaged in their learning even when the going gets tough.
Reciprocal: Teamwork is an essential aspect of education. Our children are taught to collaborate, help one another, and work together effectively.
Forest Academy is committed to supporting families in every way we can. Our school provides wrap-around care, offering a range of extended services such as extra-curricular clubs, Breakfast Club, and Afterschool Club.
We invite you to explore our school further, both online and in person, to get a taste of the exciting and enriching experiences that await you here at Forest Academy.
If you require additional information or have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us. Hard copies of all documents available on our website can be obtained from the school.
Once again, a warm welcome to all new and returning children and families. We look forward to an incredible journey of learning, growth, and achievement together.
Mrs. April Grimes
Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by online service providers in order to (for example) make their websites or services work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.
Cookies set by the website owner or service provider (in this case, eSchools) are called “first party cookies”. Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called “third party cookies”. Third party cookies enable third party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website or service you are using (such as advertising, interactive content and analytics). The third parties that set these third party cookies can recognise your computer both when it visits the website or service in question and also when it visits certain other websites or services.
We use first party and third party cookies for several reasons. Some cookies are required for technical reasons in order for our Services to operate, and we refer to these as “essential” cookies. Other cookies enable us and the third parties we work with to track and target the interests of visitors to our Services, and we refer to these as “advertising” or “analytical” cookies. For example, the embedding of YouTube and Vimeo videos, as added by individual schools, will require “advertising” cookies to be enabled in order to successfully play them. Schools that, for example, opt to track visitor data using Google Analytics will require “analytical” cookies to be enabled in order to do so. These third party cookies are used to tailor content and information that we may send or display to you and otherwise personalise your experience while interacting with our Services and to otherwise improve the functionality of the Services we provide. We also enable schools to employ cookies and similar tracking technologies in connection with their use of our Services in order to allow them to track visitors to and interactions with their school website.
Our Services allows schools to embed code which may potentially contain cookies. Please note embedded content, if displayed on one of our websites, has been added by the school and not by eSchools. The embedded content added by the school may require additional cookies or tracking technologies to be enabled in order to function.
You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies. Be aware that cookie preferences are set on a per device basis; therefore you may need to set your preferences on each device you use.

You can also change your cookie preferences by clicking on the link on the footer of any page.
